The Caring Place exists to help those in our communities who struggle financially,
emotionally or spiritually to develop a more stable lifestyle.

About Us

The Caring Place was established in 1982 by a coalition of churches serving Golf Manor, Kennedy Heights, Pleasant Ridge, and Silverton. Our goal is to provide a variety of services to members of our communities who find themselves in need of food, clothing, furniture, rent and utility assistance, family development and support groups.

Volunteers primarily come from participating churches and local schools including Nativity School, Seven Hills Academy, and Schroder Paideia High School.

Clients come to the Caring Place to select from a monthly allowance of food and household products from our “choice pantry”. They are also free to select clothes from the clothing room for themselves and family members.

Board Members

The Caring Place board is made up of two representatives from each of the local member churches along with the director.

Our Mission

In the name of Jesus Christ, we will in unity minister to our communities by offering assistance to those in need of spiritual, physical, and emotional services.

Our Goal

The Caring Place was established in 1982 by a coalition of churches serving Golf Manor, Kennedy Heights, Pleasant Ridge, and Silverton. Our goal is to provide services to members of these communities in need of food, clothing, and furniture.

Our Policy

The Caring Place is administered by a Board of Directors which includes representatives from local churches. The Director is in charge of the operation of The Caring Place. Volunteers assist in providing services to clients.

In accordance with federal law and U.S. Department of Agriculture policy, this institution is prohibited from discriminating on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, religion, or political beliefs.
